The SCA is planning a fully revamped National Youth League in 2021 and is inviting Intent of Participation from various cricket clubs, academies, corporates, community centres and schools in Singapore.

The SCA National Youth League 2021 will have 3 different tournaments for 3 age groups – U17, U14, U11 played in T20 format with round robin and playoffs. Tournament fee for U17 is $2400 with a minimum of 7 matches, U14 is $1800 with a minimum of 5 matches and U11 is $1500 with a minimum of 5 matches respectively. All teams must have a minimum of 14 players with 3 foreign players but only 2 are allowed to play at a time. U17 and U14 tournaments will be played with white cricket ball and U11 with softball. U17 tournament will be played on turf wicket and U14, U11 tournaments will be played on astro. All teams must source their own coloured clothing with SCA Logo on left chest.

Job Description

Manage existing digital marketing campaigns, while taking the initiative to develop new methods of outreach via digital platforms
Design, develop and test mobile applications for the iOS & Android platform
Works on project teams or individually, to develop new mobile applications
Maintain the integrity and continual operation of the IT network including the wireless networks.
Manage & maintain daily operation of IT services including installation & configuration and set-up of all new computer equipment.
Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment.
Develop and implement all targeted content for various media platform.
Drive growth through vendor research and outreach through audience targeting, emerging media channels, digital analytics capabilities and personalisation
Plan out and coordinate counter on website and social sites, work with copywriters, photographers, and web designers to create content and maintain regular updates.
Ability to manage digital marketing campaigns across platforms to enhance company’s digital presence.
You will from monthly / weekly editorial calendars, to using marketing strategies to deliver the SCA brand’s message in creative ways.
You will analyse data to determine which initiatives work best and capitalize on this information to continue scaling SCA’s business.
Research, write, proofread, and edit all media content, implement, and manage media campaigns and deliver public relations and communications plans.
Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment.
You shall carry out all the duties assigned to you to the best of your abilities in furtherance of the interest of the SCA.
During the continuance of your employment, you shall devote the whole of your time and attention to your duties to the SCA and shall not without prior written of the SCA engage in any other business or be concerned or interested in any other business activity or venture.

The Singapore Cricket Association is pleased to inform that we have chosen Innovative Production Group FZE (IPG) after a due process for organising and marketing the SCA T10 Cricket League. This is yet another major cricket league for which the IPG Group has bagged the rights after the successful completion of Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2020 in Sri Lanka.

A virtual contract signing ceremony was hosted jointly by SCA and IPG Group in compliance with Covid guidelines on 16th December 2020; where SCA President Mr. Mahmood Gaznavi signed the contract documents on behalf of host Governing Body SCA in the presence of Deputy. President Mr. Subir Ghatak, Vice Presidents Mr. Manesh M & Mr. S Santhanam, Hon. Treasurer Mr. Neeraj S and CEO of the SCA Mr. Saad Khan Janjua.

Singapore has confirmed qualification to the global qualifiers for 2022 T20 World Cup scheduled to be held in Australia thanks to a recalculation of the ICC T20I rankings. This is another milestone for Singapore cricket since advancing to the globar qualifier for the first time back in 2019 where they beat Scotland and Bermuda.

Global qualifier for 2022 T20 World Cup will be 2 events of 8 teams. Top two teams from these evetns will secure their places in Australia. Zimbabwe, Nepal and UAE are the other teams alongside Singapore that automatically qualifies based on the T20 rankings. Four teams that finish bottom at the T20 World Cup in 2021 will also be granted automatic qualification.

We at SCA are deeply saddened by the loss of Dato Dr Harjit Singh. Dr Harjit was instrumental in the growth of cricket in the region as the President of Johor Cricket Council, since 1987 till the present day and the Deputy President of Malaysian Cricket Association from 1990 to 2003. He was also the founder of the first Cricket programme in primary school not only in Johor State, but also in Malaysia in 1987.

He was instrumental in his support to the SCA during SEA Games and also during 2017-2018 preparations of the Singapore National Men’s Squad by hosting the team at the Johor Cricket Association Ground and facility. We are grateful for his support over the years!

May God give strength to his family and friends to bear this loss. May he rest in peace.

TENDER FOR DESIGN, SUPPLY, DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF CRICKET BALL STOP NETTING AT FIELD OF INDIAN ASSOCIATION, 69, BALESTIER ROAD

INTRODUCTION

Singapore Cricket Association invites tenderers to submit bids for:
Design, delivery and installation of pole and ball stop netting alongside to the Balasteir road at the open field at 69, Balestier Rd, Singapore 329677

GENERAL 

  • Bidders must have a relevant track record and experience to provide the services.
  • Bidders must satisfy all technical and commercial requirements contained in this document.
  • All costs related to temporary structures and supplies shall be borne by the successful contractor.
  • The successful contractor shall be responsible for any damage at site or part of building on-site by the contractor or his workmen or agents. All reinstatement work must be made good to the satisfaction of the Singapore Cricket Association and the Singapore Indian Association.
  • All works at the site shall be carried out during office hours between 8 am to 6 pm from Monday to Saturday. No work shall be carried out on Public Holiday/Sunday unless otherwise approved. The successful contractor shall, in any case, submit a work schedule for approval after the award of the tender.
  • The successful contractor must ensure that necessary warning signage and safety barricades are in place at all times during installation and shall undertake all safety precautions and indemnify the Singapore Cricket Association and the Indian Association against all claims and damages including claims from 3rd parties and public arising from any adverse occurrences at worksites in possession of contractor.
  • All works shall comply in all respect with any relevant Statutory Regulation, Bye-Laws and other Regulations currently in force. PE endorsements and relevant permissions and Govt. approvals are the responsibility of the contractor for this tender.
  • Particular attention is required for the structural strength of Poles and netting.
  • The Singapore Cricket Association reserves the right to cancel any request for tender at any time.

SCOPE OF WORKS

The successful contractor will be required to:

  • Design and erect a structurally sturdy 25-metre pole (with PE endorsement) for the roadside of Balestier road to ensure as indicated in attached “Ball Stop Netting”.
  • Provide and install a black colour knotted netting.
  • Poles must come with a Pully with a metal cable to replace the netting.
  • All Govt. approvals responsibility of vendor to obtain.
  • PE endorsed plan is required to be submitted by successful contractor.

MANUFACTURING REQUIREMENT

  • All components shall be designed and manufactured as a system
  • Durability: All exposed components shall be constructed of corrosion resistant material and/or coated to help prevent corrosion.
  • All exposed carbon steel shall be hot dip galvanized per ASTM A123.
  • All exposed aluminium shall be powder coated with high performance polyester or anodized.
  • All exterior reflective inserts shall be anodized, coated, and protected from direct environmental exposure to prevent reflective degradation or corrosion.
  • All exposed hardware and fasteners shall be stainless steel of 18-8 grade or better, passivated and coated with aluminium-based thermosetting epoxy resin for protection against corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
  • Structural fasteners may be carbon steel and galvanized meeting ASTM A153 and ISO/EN 1461 (for hot dipped galvanizing), or ASTM B695 (for mechanical galvanizing).

STRUCTURAL PARAMETERS

  • Wind Loads: Wind loads shall be based on the 2009 International Building Code.  Wind loads to be calculated using ASCE 7-05, a design wind speed of 100mph, Exposure Category C and wind importance factor of 1.0.
  • Structural Design: The stress analysis and safety factor of the mounting brackets shall conform to 2009 AASHTO Standard Specification for Structural Supports for Highway Signs, Luminaires, and Traffic Signals (LTS-5).

WARRANTY

  • A 10-Year Warranty: Successful contractor / manufacturer shall supply a signed warranty covering the entire system for 10 years from the date of installation.
  • Warranty shall guarantee specified poles; include all individual nut, bolts and maintenance.
  • Warranty shall cover all parts and labor expenses including lift rental if needed.
  • A sample warranty document is to be submitted by bidder, the contents of which will go into evaluation.

INSURANCE

  • Appointed Contractor has to take Contractors’ All Risk Insurance and Work Injury Compensation Insurance before starting of any works. All the documents need to submit to SCA at least one week prior to the commencement of works.

PAYMENT TERMS

There will be two progress payments as follows:

  1. The Contractor shall submit to SCA, a copy of 1st progress payment upon delivery of material. SCA will certify the claim and process it for payment.
  2. Final payment upon completion of whole works.
  3. There will be 5% retention sum from the total contract price for 6 months (during Defects Liability Period) and will be released upon completion of DLP.

TENDER SUBMISSION

Bidders are required to submit the following:

  • Tender submission document (sample enclosed – duly signed to indicate acceptance.
  • Price submission form (format enclosed – duly filled and signed without qualifications. Bidders who have deviations or alternative proposals may indicate so in a separate document and submit for consideration).
  • Product Brochures – for poles and netting.
  • Proposed Warranty Document, including the proposed DLP for other materials supplied and workmanship.
  • The list of contractors who will be undertaking installation if awarded.
  • Price validity if applicable.
