The SCA conducted parents and players information session for the upcoming T10 U17s and U14s League. Selected players from various schools in Singapore, both local and international attended the U14s and U17s information sessions respectively on the 21st and 22nd of January 2019 at the Vijaya Room at the Singapore Indian Association.
Parents and players alike were given a presentation by Arjun Menon, Game Development Officer of the SCA on the concept of the SCA Zonal Leagues, what the SCA hopes to achieve with the ongoing implementation of these leagues and how this concept will become a component of the extended talent pathway into possible representation of Singapore a age group level.
The SCA T10 Zonal Leagues in 2019 will see the involvement of 24 teams across four divisions. The U17s and U14s Premier League will consist of 6 teams each, the Northern Stormers, South East Sharks, Eastern Tridents, West Coast Warriors, Metro South Dockers and the Central Skyliners and will be played as an 11 a side T10 format.
There will also be a Challenge League for U17s and U14s and this will be contested by the South East Zone, Metro South Zone, North Zone, East Zone, West Zone and Central Zone.
SCA Cricket Operations Staff, Rajendran Marimutthu, Youth Development Officer and Manpreet Singh will be coordinators for this event at U14s and U17s age groups respectively.
The SCA T10 Zonal Leagues are scheduled to start on the 11th of February 2019 with matches played at CSC, IA and Dempsey.
