Singapore began their ACC Men’s Challenger Cup 2026 campaign with a convincing win over Maldives, delivering a complete team performance with both bat and ball. 

Singapore won the toss and elected to bowl first. The bowlers produced a disciplined performance to restrict Maldives to 138 all out in 33.2 overs. 

Manpreet Singh led the attack with an outstanding spell, taking 4 wickets in 5.2 overs. 

The debutant bowlers also made an immediate impact, with Kapish Venkatraman taking 2 wickets in 7 overs and Arkin Kesar taking 2 wickets in 6 overs. Jeevan Santhanam also contributed strongly with 2 wickets in 7 overs.
